This gorgeous girl needed a new set of personal branding photos, and I was happy to help out. Even if you’re not particularly comfortable in front of a camera, we can meet up, have a chat and I’ll just snap away. You won’t even know you’ve been photographed. Well, that’s not completely true, but the process is probably a lot less painful than you might think.
I loved taking these photos so much. Emily and I met earlier in the year when I photographed her along with her gorgeous family. She asked me to photograph just her this time, in her home studio, as she’s being featured in a book about East Lothian artists. And it was just a joy. Mary the dog features heavily, as she should.
Rebecca, as it turns out, lives on the same street as Emily Hogarth, and also needed personal branding photos of herself in her home studio. We chatted, I looked at her amazing jewellery confections (they literally look like sweets!), and snapped away, and I think we ended up with some beautiful portraits. Carrie recently launched her Edinburgh-based interior design business. Her designs are fab (check out her insta profile), and she needed a few portraits of herself, in her well-designed home, for her social media and website. Orlaith Brogan has organised some amazing events through her Mumpreneur Revolution group, and this was the best of the best. It was a celebration of the group (and not coincidentally, her son) turning one, and a massive fundraiser for the charity Make Seconds Count. It was also a joyful event to photograph, with mums and babies and local businesses and even Kezia Dugdale. The photos hopefully speak for themselves.
These dedicated folk were up and at it at 8:00am on a Saturday. I mean, so was I, but I was definitely impressed. Marc hired me to capture the lovely vibe at this indoor/outdoor fitness class and I think the photos speak for themselves.
I mean, come on. Gorgeous kiddos. Amazing, American vintage clothes I grew up wearing (which probably means I, too, am vintage but let’s not go there). A french bulldog. I love my job! Today I got to go for a lovely walk with Elspeth Alexandra's Route 10 Buggy Rollers. They start off every Friday morning in front of Ocean Terminal and walk over to the Newhaven Cycle Path, over to Victoria Park, onto the Water of Leith and back to Ocean Terminal…

Well this was fun. Nichola wanted to showcase her amazing Christmas food creations on her website and throughout her social media channels, and I was happy to help her out. And yes, I got to try some of the food - the mini mince pies were to do for, and I’m not even a massive mince pie fan.
Full disclosure - I do this bootcamp myself. And it’s awesome! Genuinely, and I’m not one who loves exercise. I’ve been doing it for a good long while now and thought I’d share a few Julia asked me to take. When a tech company writes a book for freelancers, it only makes sense that that they’d create both a tactile and an electronic version of it, right? After shooting the hold-it-in-your-and-and-flip-the-pages version, I was tasked with photographing it on an iPad and a phone. Slightly easier said than done but it all worked out in the end!
I’ve done quite a few photo shoots for software company FreeAgent, but this was definitely a fun one. If you’re a small business owner, whether you’re looking for a flat lay or photos of all 50 people in your office or something in between, I’m your girl here in Edinburgh.
…they hired me for a number of business branding photography jobs. This was a super fun shoot, photographing their ‘baby’ - a field guide for freelancers that nearly every member of the creative and marketing departments worked on. These photos were used in a wide-ranging social media and digital campaign.
This was a lot of fun. FreeAgent hired me to take photograph their new office space in a way that showed off the amazing space as well as the chilled out vibe the company prides itself on. It really is a lovely place to work. A number of these photos have been used in their social media, digital ads, brochures and recruitment materials. Who wouldn’t want to work there?
This is Danae, and she’s one smart cookie. I had the pleasure of working with her at FreeAgent (she’s now Chief Marketing Officer at Care Sourcer) and was thrilled to bits when she asked me to take these photos. She’s going to be a speaker at the next Turing Festival (!!!) and needed a new headshot for the occasion. The last photo is my favourite.
